I was lucky enough to work on a year long project with Esteem, with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund. Esteem is a charity that offers young adults aged 14-26 opportunities to develop confidence, build life-skills and improve well-being. I was asked to teach a group of young people from Shoreham Academy about the process of building a website. During this process, we were also going to work together to build a website about the history of Shoreham.
Each session I introduced a new phase of website development. I showcased the building blocks of what I do for a living and gave the students a good understanding of how websites are created. It was a really rewarding experience and helped to prepare the students for digital work in the future.
